I was hurt at a resturaunt, what can i do? can i sue?

I went to Joes Crab shack and decided to sit outside on the deck. The weather was pretty bad but we figured it was alright with the roof over us. The wind began to kick up and blew several glasses over at an unoccupied table in front of us and shattered on the ground. The wind blew shards of glass at us and one got in my left eye. I tried to flush it out but I think it might still be in there. The manager came up to me and we exchanged info. Should I get any hospital expenses paid by the company? And am I able to get any additional money for the inconvenience?I was hurt at a resturaunt, what can i do? can i sue?
so the glass hit the ground and the wind blew the shard into your eye? sound fishy, but in reality a court could find that they should have cleaned up and not allowed people outside. this is not a totally unreasonable case.
More than likely a court would rule the restaurant did everything in it's power to protect it's partrons. Typically an act of nature cannot hold a restaurant or person liable for damages caused to another person.

If you chose to sue, you can sue for the hospital bills. There is no free money and you would not receive any additional money.I was hurt at a resturaunt, what can i do? can i sue?
If the manager gave you his info, he is probably suggesting that the restaurant will pay for medical expenses. As far as further damages, it would be a "premises liability" lawsuit. Here is a law article that explains premises liability: http://www.webb-firm.com/articles/the-el鈥?/a> The strength of your case may be a little low considering it was an act of god. It would really depend on if it even develops to anything beyond a simple trip to the ER.
They are not responsible for the effects of weather. It was your choice to sit outside in bad weather.
Everybody is freaking sue happy these days. It's sick.
Anyone can sue that said you may not win your lawsuit.
Um that's the weather, not the restaurant. They have nothing to do with nature
why the f u c k would you sit outside
uhh hell yeah!

keep your reciepts and make sure your hostial bill correalates with your story. You should get something, that **** aint right. Companies have insurance for instances like this anyway.
