I recently got a job as a host. What should I say to customers on the walk to their table?

I am a hostess at Joe's Crab Shack. It's my very first job and I love it!!

But I need some ideas on what to talk to customers about on the walk to their table so it's not awkward :/ Any ideas??

"So what brings you here tonight?"

"How is everyone doing tonight?"

"If I can help you with anything today please let me know."

"I hope you have a great stay."
It's a pretty short walk- just ask - you guys doing ok? talk about the weather, compliment a girl on her shoes or purse, if they have young kids- talk to them- ask how old they are - tell the parents how cute the kids are. Older kids- what school do they go to? If the restaurant is near a mall- ask if they've been shopping. End it with- enjoy your meal.I recently got a job as a host.
