The Barking Crab. Unbelievable food, massive portions, true "clambake" style. It was just featured on the Travel Channel's Man vs. Food also. Speaking of 'hands on', this place gives you a rock to smash open your lobster and other hardshells with. Yes, a rock.

Right on the water of Boston Harbor, beautiful place.

You will also find a LOT of good places once you venture out of Boston towards the fishing towns near Cape Cod and Gloucester.
The No Name is a great seafood restaurant in Boston. It's in an old warehouse on the wharf.Recommendations for crab shack/seafood restaurant new england states...?
Jasper's is very good too- get a few appetizers and share rather a large entree to see what you really like there-
Ugh well I hate it, but Summer Shack is probably what you're looking for. You don't have to travel all the way to Boston, there's one at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
