Every restaurant varies. I will warn you though, although the minimum wage is 7.25, most restaurant employees are not required to be paid this because of the fact that they are tipped. For example, in VA the minimum wage for a server is $2.13. Because the employee is making cash-on-hand, the $2.13 is basically enough to just cover taxes. You are also required to claim all tips made by law.
Bussing is typically a very easy job - limited interaction with customers and tip out is normally based on a percentage of the server's overall sales, not how much they walk away with.
