I live in Henderson, Nevada...trying to see what restaurants make the best tips. Like Chevy's or Joe's Crab Shack..any advice is much appreciated.Which restaurants make good tips?
The fancier and more expensive the place, the bigger the tips will be. This holds true everywhere. 15% of $100 is more than 15% of $40. It's harder to get into those places, but will be well worth it to you. Places like Denny's are BAD because I've heard that you get stiffed a lot, especially from older people that don't understand why you should tip for GOOD service.
It depends on how good the server is. I work at a truck stop and some days the servers go home with over $100 in tips and that is during the day shift 7am-3pm. So, it all depends on how fast, efficient, accurate and friendly you are. You have to have the personality to be a server and to be able to just start up a conversation with anyone. Well if you are trying to get a job in restaurant where you can make good $ I would recommend to chose any restaurant where they serve alcohol and has a recognized name such as Chilli's, Applebees, Olive Garden etc.. you know big and good ones people with money visit the most..good luck
