I just got my new hermit crab today and the temperature is a bit lower than it should be. I have a Zoo med hermit crab heater for it, but for plastic cages it mentions putting it on the side or back. I cannot put it there because then the cage will not open. (it looks like this: http://www.petco.com/product/114750/Super-Pet-Little-Crab-Shack-Hermit-Crab-Cage.aspx?CoreCat=HermitCrabHPHabitatsStarterKits) I have to put the heating pad on the bottom of the cage, but the instructions dont say a thing about placing it there for plastic cages. =/ Is anyone familiar enough with this heater to help??? Thanks. Can i put the zoo med hermit crab heater on the bottom of my cage?
first of all a tank that size is way to small.second you need a ten gallon at least. third you should keep it the way it is if the temp is 72-80 degrees it is good enough
