I was eating at joe's crab shack and everytime I kept breaking the crab shell little pieces would end up in my mouth. I was able to take out certain pieces but there were moments were I would bite the piece along with crab meat and shallowed. I think the pieces where pretty small tiny pieces I never felt a big piece I would of known not to shallow it.
I just want to know if its bad to shallow a piece or two of hard crab shell like the king crab type of shell? If so what happens? Please no rude answers just good ones. I am fine no fainting no vomiting nothing just fine.Is it bad for you to eat pieces of hard crab shell?
it will be fine if its small enough, i don't know if it would dissolve in the stomach at all though and i know u said no rude answers but the only problem i can think of would be the 'exit'. but again if the pieces are small enough then you wouldn't even notice
No, it's perfectly safe to eat crab shell.
Geeze, there are people who do sideshow acts involving eating glass, and they manage to do that without injury, and since crab shell isn't nearly as sharp (not to mention your stomach acid should soften it and further dull the edges).
You'll be fine - you may actually get a little extra minerals as a result. Is it bad for you to eat pieces of hard crab shell?
As long as you didn't choke, they would hurt you. The shells are actually a source of Calcium, so they wouldn't make you sick. Considering how small they were, I don't think they'll hurt much coming out the other end either mixed with all the other digested by-products.
Tiny or very small shells are fine, bigger ones can be super sharp and really do some harm on the way down (and out).
Did they give you all the tools and the little 'picker'?
You should be fine.
Yes.
If it's quite a big and sharp piece of crab shell, it may cut or graze your throat but other than that, it's fine.
